If your child is developmentally disabled and over the age of 18, or is about to turn 18, there are issues regarding guardianship over your child that you should be aware of.

 



 

Did You Know?

Children with developmental disabilities face many challenges. Tasks like acquiring medical care, continuing education and simple daily maintenance can consume most of their family’s time. The care providers who selflessly devote themselves to the task are well aware of these issues, but many are not aware that their parental authority to care for a child with a developmental disability ends when that child reaches adulthood.  Learn more.

The Center for Guardian Advocacy is a non-profit organization created to make guardian advocacy more accessible and less frightening by minimizing the expense and complexity of the court process.  Learn how we help.

 

Our Fees

Since CGA is a non-profit organization, the fee for service is based upon each family’s ability to pay. A fee schedule is included in this website.
